Removing the Detector Tube from the MR Instrument
Removing requires the following steps:
- 1.
- Remove the RF coil and all samples from the instrument.
- 2.
- Deflate the pneumatic fixation of the detector tube by turning the valve of the Pneumofix in the OPEN position.
- 3.
- Gently pull the detector tube a few cm out and leave it in this position.
- 4.
- Unlock the support shell and rotate it such that the axis of the shell is aligned with the axis of the magnet.
- 5.
- Move the trolley behind the magnet bore and secure it by the wheeler breaks.
- 6.
- Gently lift the PET insert and pull it completely out and onto the support shell.
- 7.
- Secure the PET Insert on the support shell using the safety belts.
- 8.
- Depending on space available, rotate the shell or proceed with the next step prior to rotating.
- 9.
- Open the wheeler breaks and move the PET insert to its storage position.
