Safety Symbols

When handling the «» you have to observe certain safety information and corresponding instructions which are high-lighted by appropriate safety symbols. The safety symbols and their meaning comply with ISO 7010, and are described in the following sections. All safety symbols must permanently be kept legible.

Do not remove or obstruct them. Replace worn or damaged labels immediately!

Symbol	Description
	General Hazard This warning symbol indicates general hazard. Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of these safety instructions can cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.
	Strong magnetic Field This warning symbol indicates the existence of a strong magnetic field. Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of these safety instructions can cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.

	General Hazard This warning symbol indicates general hazard. Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of these safety instructions can cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.
	Electrical Voltage This warning symbol indicates electrical hazard, and is located near live parts or on enclosures behind which are live parts that represent an accidental contact hazard. Never touch these components! Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of these safety instructions can cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.
	Strong magnetic Field This warning symbol indicates the existence of a strong magnetic field. Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of these safety instructions can cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.
	Radioactive Material This warning symbol indicates the possible existence of radioactivity. When working with radioactive material always observe the safety regulations and take necessary protective measures. Wear protective clothing, e.g. masks and gloves. Non-observance may cause severe personal injury or death.
	No admission for pregnant women This symbol prohibits a defined group of persons entering an access controlled area around the system. The symbol is located at the entrance of this area. Observe the safety instructions and follow the precautions. Non-observance of this prohibition sign may cause severe personal injury or death.

	Infectious Material This warning symbol indicates the possible existence of biologically dangerous and infectious material. When working with this kind of material always observe the prevailing laboratory safety regulations and take necessary precautions and disinfection measures (e.g. wearing protective clothing, masks, gloves etc.). Non-observance may cause severe personal injury or even death. 	Radioactive Material This warning symbol indicates the possible existence of radioactivity. When working with radioactive material always observe the safety regulations and take necessary protective measures. Wear protective clothing, e.g. masks and gloves. Non-observance may cause severe personal injury or death.
