The NMI PHAN IM QA Phantom is used to contain radioactive dilutions so the user should adhere to the local radiological rules always.

Hazard of injury (also irreversible) caused by radioactive substances. The phantoms can contain the radioactive isotope F18-FDG. - •
- The phantoms may only be used by trained and qualified personal familiar with the applicable national and local radiation and safety regulations.
- •
- Contaminated clothes must be changed immediately.
In case of skin contact, follow the safety-instructions given in the applicable laboratory and radiation safety standards.

In compliance with the local and national radiation safety regulations use the following safety equipment as e.g.:

- Personal dosimeter.
- ▪
- Personal protective equipment should be worn, which includes lab coat, gloves and safety glasses.
- ▪
- Avoid direct contact with the sample fluid and in case of direct contact with the sample solution, follow the safety aspects given by the local radiation safety regulations.
Do not eat or drink sample fluids. Before taking the phantom for imaging, remove any leaking phantom fluid or spills on the outside surface using the appropriate safety precautions.

Property damage caused by improper handling. - •
- Observe the following instructions and all safety-related information to avoid damaging the phantoms.

- Avoid any kind of mechanical influence which could damage phantom, like e.g. bumps or shakes.
- •
- Do not leave a phantom inside the instrument longer than necessary.
- •
- When the phantom is in position, set-up and run the acquisition.
