Intended Use
Multimodal Animal Cradles belonging to the Multi Modal Product Family (MMPF) are closed cradles to position and support (for example mechanically, thermally, …) small rodents (mice and rats) while being imaged in instruments that use different techniques to generate the images. MMPF cradles are designed for the following imaging instruments manufactured by Bruker:
- ▪
- BioSpec 3T
- ▪
- PET/MR 3T
- ▪
- BioSpec with PET Inline
- ▪
- PET/CT Si78
The cradles are to be attached to the Animal Cell Extension (ACE) at the Animal Transport System (ATS).
If adequately prepared for, the rodents can remain in the cradle while being carried from one to the other imaging instrument.
MMPF cradles are not intended to be used in laboratories at Biosafety Level larger than two and in specific-pathogen-free (SFP) environments.
The MMPF cradles have been designed and constructed solely for the intended use described here. Intended use also includes compliance with all specifications within this manual.
Any use which exceeds or differs from the intended use shall be considered improper use. No claims of any kind for damage will be entertained if such claims result from improper use.
