Components
The PET insert consists of various components located at different places within the user’s laboratory.
 
The hardware components in the magnet room are the following:

PET Insert with detector tube located on the electronics trolley.

Detector tube to be inserted into the gradient bore.

Electronics trolley to acquire PET signals.
 
The PET insert remains located in the magnet room next to the MR instrument’s Service End. Prior to usage, move the trolley to the rear, turn the sledge with the detector tube 90 degree and align the trolley with the instrument’s rear (see Installation).
