Specific Handling

Coil Mounting

• Attach the tune/match rod extensions
• In order to position the coil in the magnet center, mount the position rod and insert the coil from the service end until the position rod at the adapter aligns with the end ring of the gradient:
  70/30 and 94/20 magnet, length of the distance rod 465 mm; 94/30 magnet 699 mm.
  
  For other magnets, determine the correct length of the rod by varying the coil position in the magnet. The brightest area in coronal or sagittal MR images of a phantom indicates the center. Remove then knob at the rod and cut the rod accordingly.
