Automatic Wobble stops with error message.

CryoProbe wobbled the first time after switching the electronics on.

Step width of automatic tuning initially too large: repeat automatic wobble. The second time should work.

Sweep Width too large for step width of algorithm.

to 5 or 8 MHz.

  • Check the check box “Save Results” on the Result Card.
  • Wobble manually selecting Element Array 1 followed by 2, 3, ….
  • Right Mouse -> Save Adjustment Results … may be used to store the manually obtained wobble data.

Images are too noisy.

CryoProbe not plugged in. Images are acquired with the TX/RX Volume Coil.

Plug in the white coil connector (ODU).

Image shows only noise

The RJ45 (LAN) connector at the CCM filter plate was not plugged in.

Plug in the RJ45 (LAN) connector at the CCM filter plate.

Image brightness inhomogeneous.

Image brightness always differs with distance from the coil elements. However, element image brightness can be scaled relative to the other array element in order to achieve best homogeneity.

Water condensation or ice in the coil head.

Cooling Unit 4:
The TCU heater (or the TCU itself) was switched off or automatically switched off during a power outage.

  • Switch the TCU heater on and set temperature.
  • Install an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) for the TCU if frequently power outages occur.

 

Cooling Unit 5:
The RF Window Heater is not operational

  • Check Alarm at the RF Window Heater
  • Press Reset where indicated.

Water condensation or ice at the rear of the CryoProbe where interfaced to the interconnection.

Bottom heater is off.

The animal bed is locked in the magnet.

The lifting mechanism of the animal bed is stuck in the „up“ position.

  • Pull the rear side of the animal bed up in order to move the head down: then carefully pull the animal bed out.
  • To avoid such problems, adjust the center of gravity of the animal bed (including mouse and all needed animal monitoring equipment) such that the front of the bed is down.
