Mains Disconnect
All standard components of the MR instrument are supplied with line power via the Line Power Distributor (LPD). A Mains Disconnect is located at the front panel of the LPD to disconnect the instrument from mains so that when disconnected, no voltages are present at the components of the MR instrument any more. In case of emergency, follow the procedure in section Electric Emergency.
The LPD is typically located in the Technical Room close to the electronic cabinets. Ensure that access to the LPD is always granted.
Some installations might require for optional components separate line power not provided by the LPD. Users should be familiarized with these components and an emergency procedure to power off and disconnect from mains.
