Introduction

This System Manual is part of the accompanying documentation for the »AVANCE III HD« MR instrument. In general the accompanying documentation contains the following listed documents:

  • System Manual

Contains information for a proper operation, an introduction to the ParaVision user software as well as general and specific safety instructions. The system manual is complemented by operating manuals for various accessories like RF coils or animal handling devices. Every operator needs to be familiar with the system manual’s content and the appropriate operating instructions for the respective accessory.

  • System Owner Manual

Contains the legal and safety relevant aspects for the system owner. The system owner needs to be familiar with the system owner manual’s content.

 

The following listed documents are not part of the accompanying documentation. These documents are designed for special user or rather applications, and contain in-depth information that go far beyond conventional operation.

  • Software Manual

Contains detailed information on the ParaVision user software for experienced operator, see the ParaVision Online Help.

  • Application Manual

Contains detailed information and workflows for in vivo applications performed by experienced operator using the ParaVision software and the MR instrument, see the ParaVision Online Help.

  • Programming and 
    Administration Manual

Contains detailed information on the application-specific programming of the MR instrument as well as hardware requirements for the workplaces and the scanner electronic. Information for workplace configurations, workplace networking and maintenance procedures are also provided. The document is addressed to method programmers and the instrument administrator, see ParaVision Online Help.

  • Technical Documentation

Contains technical and safety-related information, and is addressed to authorized service personnel only. The documentation is provided on DVD. Every service staff must be authorized by Bruker and needs to be familiar with the content of the technical documentation.

  • Site Planning Information

The site planning information is addressed to persons, who plan and prepare the instrument site. Such persons may include the system owner as responsible person, but possibly also external planning agencies and engineers who are involved in the layout of the site and the realization of required site preparations.

Before initial operation, read all safety information and operating instructions given in this manual attentively and carefully, to ensure a safe and proper operation of the MR instrument.
