Specific Handling
- Position the animal on the animal cradle insert such that the heart will be aligned with the marker. By this, when inserting the animal cradle insert into the coil, it will be located in the center of the coil allowing additional +/- 10 mm adjustment of the position.
- Attach the ECG electrodes to the animal and twist the cables to avoid rf- and gradient interferences. Fix the ECG cables to avoid motion of the cables.

- Adjust the anaesthesia mask and tooth bar.
- Fix the animal onto the insert for example with tape.
- Slide the insert into the coil/animal cradle.
- The insert can now be shifted +/-10 mm within the coil.
- Insert the coil plug from the front and push it through the magnet.
- Mount the coil/animal cradle at the mounting device.
- Attach the ECG electrodes to the animal and connect them to the animal bed.
- Connect the cables e.g. from the SA Instruments ECG/Temp.-Module to the animal bed.
