Differing QA Procedure

QA X-Nucleus and Reference Power X-Nucleus

For QA of the X-nucleus, select the corresponding phantom and protocol, for example QA_31P.

The Reference Power for the X-nucleus cannot be determined automatically as easily as for 1H. In order to have a quick procedure, we recommend to set the Reference Power for the X-nucleus manually to the same value as obtained for 1H. This approximation is based on the coil design.

Workflow:

• After the adjustments and localizer images with 1H, select the corresponding Operation Mode for the X-nucleus.
• Goto Setup and select User defined as Reference Power and enter the power value obtained for 1H
• Scan the QA_X-Nucleus protocol and evaluate spectrum
• Additionally, a protocol with 1H decoupling (Bsp. QA_31P_1H_dec) is available for 13C and 31P.
