Warm-Up
The MRI CryoProbe™ may be warmed up outside of the magnet, making the scanner available during this period.
The warm-up procedure is fully automatic. To start the warm-up press the ‘Warm up’ button in the CryoTool software or on the Cooling Unit and acknowledge any message boxes popping up.
NOTE
The complete warm-up process takes several hours (typically around three to four hours).
As a rule of thumb, it is recommended to perform a warm-up if the CryoProbe™ will not be used for more than two weeks. This will save electrical energy and reduce the runtime of the Cryo Platform.
Please consider that every subsequent cool-down process will consume some Helium 6.0 for flushing the Helium cycle.
