Closing the Cover

For CT instruments, closing the cover is mandatory to be able to start a CT scan. For MR instruments, the cover should also be closed for two reasons: firstly, the cover provides a RF shielding which reduces image artifacts due to RF interferences and secondly, RF emission is only compliant with the electromagnetic compatibility regulatory after closing the cover. Close the cover carefully.

	Personal injury or property damage when closing the cover Crushing and squeezing of hands or fingers possible. • Check for parts being blocked before closing the cover and remove potentially. • Check with other users at the ATS that you intend to close the cover so that they take hands off before you close the cover. • Take hands off before closing the cover.
