PET optimized RF Coils and Animal Cradles
PET optimized MRI RF coils are characterized by:
a B1 profile that matches the size of the PET FOV
the use of materials that minimize the attenuation of 511 keV gamma rays
mechanical provisions to ensure a reproducible position of the RF coil inside the PET insert using the RF Coil alignment inlet of the PET Insert.
 
PET optimized Animal Cradles are characterized using materials that minimize the attenuation of 511 keV gamma rays.
At present, Bruker offers the following PET optimized animal cradles that work together with the PET optimized RF Coils highlighted in light-blue in the figure below. Bruker is increasing the PET optimized RF coil portfolio with corresponding animal cradles continuously, please contact your local Bruker sales representative for an updated list.
