Operational Qualification
Operational Qualification (sometimes also called quality assurance) ensures reproducible performance of the PET instrument in specification. If conducted on a regular basis, there is a high probability to detect degradation of defects of the PET instrument in an early phase and to avoid the acquisition of unqualified PET data. For this purpose it is useful to log the results of the operational qualification results over time.

ATS Center Setting in PET, MR or CT Center (not applicable for PET Insert). | - ▪
- Check that the center setting of the transport system corresponds to the center of the FOV of the corresponding modality.
- ▪
- Identify the trend over the year and recalibrate if required.
| |
PET/MR PET/CT co-registration | - ▪
- Check that the co-registration of PET with the MR or CT images is correct and precise.
- ▪
- Identify the trend over the year and recalibrate if required.
