Classification of multiple sclerosis clinical forms by 1-H magnetic ressonance spectroscopy of cerebrospinal fluid

Fuzzy Sets and Systems journal Decision tree based fuzzy classifier of 1-H magnetic resonance spectra from cerebrospinal fluid samples , Francesc Xavier Aymerich, Juli Alonso, Miquel E. Cabañas, M. Comabella, P. Sobrevilla, Alex Rovira; Fuzzy Sets and Systems 170, 43-63 (2011). DOI: 10.1016/j.fss.2011.01.003

This paper presents a method for classifying cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples studied by proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1-H MRS) into clinical subgroups by means of a fuzzy classifier. The method focuses on the analysis of a low signal-to-noise region of the spectra and is designed to use a small number of samples because sampling can only be done through an invasive technique. Analysis of phenolic compounds in Extra Virgin Olive Oil by LC-NMR/MS. Differentiation and identification of diastereoisomeric molecules

“Separation and Identification of Phenolic Compounds of Extra-Virgin Olive Oil from Olea Europaea L. by HPLC-DAD-SPE-NMR/MS. Identification of a New Diastereoisomer of the Aldehydic Form of Oleuropein Aglycone”, by Míriam Pérez-Trujillo, Ana María Gómez-Caravaca, Antonio Segura-Carretero, Alberto Fernández-Gutiérrez, Teodor Parella; Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry 58, 9129-9136 (2010). DOI: 10.1021/jf101847e

The phenolic fraction of a monovarietal extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) from Olea europaea L. var. Cornezuelo was studied by the hyphenated HPLC-DAD-SPE-NMR/MS techniques. This survey led to the identification of 25 main compounds. One was identified as a new diastereoisomer of the aldehydic form of oleuropein aglycone (AOA) and characterized by 1D and 2D NMR techniques. A new way to measure small proton-carbon coupling constants

About this Journal“IPAP–HSQMBC: Measurement of long-range heteronuclear coupling constants from spin-state selective multiplets”, by Sergi Gil, Juan Félix Espinosa and Teodor ParellaJournal of Magnetic Resonance, 207, 312-321 (2010). DOI: 10.1016/j.jmr.2010.09.017

A new NMR approach is proposed for the measurement of long-range heteronuclear coupling constants (nJXH,n > 1) in natural abundance molecules. Two complementary in-phase (IP) and anti-phase (AP) data are separately recorded from a modified HSQMBC experiment and then added/subtracted to provide spin-state-selective α/β–HSQMBC spectra.
